I just had a great session.. only lasted 35 minutes and resulted in a 30+ BB upswing. I sat down and was dealt aces. I saw aces again, hit sets and the highlight of the session was here

I get weird when Im on a rush because I had getting carried away so Im always tempted to stop playing.. had I stopped playing here when I thought of it I would have missed out on a good 20 bbs. The table kind of fell apart because of how well I was doing so I get shorthanded.. bullied out the last 4 pots in a row and ended the session with a new bankroll high of $138.91

Tough go of it

I came out of the gate at .25/.50 well.. got up to $12 really early.. after that it was a 3 buy in downswing.. I kept my head about it and ground it out 1500 more hands and im finally up two buy ins again. I read some more in SSHE and Im just about ready to start rereading it. Its become very clear (since I started using PokerAce HUD) that my aggression is very low and I may have opened up too much FP.. I definately need to be raising about 4x as much hands preflop as I do so I started raising more suited A10 - AQ hands from middle to late position and 3 betting my strong starting hands that arent Aces preflop. I like where this is going.

A good start

Well Ive played 400+ hands at .25/.50 and its gone pretty smoothly. Im up about 25 BBs and all my stats from .10/.20 are pretty much matching up. IF I continue playing this much and do this averagely well I should be able to move up again in about 3 weeks?.. but Im not holding my breath at all.

Found a program today put out by the PPA.. not even sure if its approved by poker sites but it calculates all your odds and for you LIVE.. I tried it out on the play money tables but you cant use it live until you pay $25 for a PPA membership.. I probably wont do it buy I like the idea of seeing all the real odds in real time.. Im just not sure if it would make me a better player or a more lazy one.. So in the mean time Im not paying for it.

I think I might grind out an hour or two and get to bed.

Had a great day at the tables online.. went from 91 and change to $100.11 at .1/.2 which means... I can now play .25/.50 with 10 buy ins. That took a long time but im glad I didnt cheat it. Heres the hand that pushed me over.

So read my post from January 2nd and thats where Im at again.. Ive stayed away from serious limit online and been screwing around with sngs and stuff and I went down a few buy ins... after a few good sessions and one great one today Im back where I started then.. approaching the $100 and .25/.50 mark.

Also all the plans I had for my time off work are out the window.. I'm starting work tomorrow (on less then 24 hours notice) and thats that. I got to the casino 3 times this off time which blows.. I didnt play much online either. Its ok though. Feeling good about it and theres really no pressure to move forward anyway... as long as I dont go backwards.

Honestly.. I havent been playing much limit. Started screwing around in sit and goes a lot more over the last month with pretty much break even results. Playing in a $4 180 SnG right now and the following chat occurred

Status Update

I havent posted in a while for a few reasons. The biggest is I have been taking a small break from Limit. I took a small back slide (two buy ins or so). At the same time I started picking up some NL sit and goes and a few MTTs which Ive been placing in. Its always good to jump back to other games and have them be fun again. The MTTs really wear on me though so I dont think Ill be playing too many more for a bit. Besides I can only ask my girlfriend to wait for me to do something for 3 or 4 hours in one week so many times before it before it becomes a problem.

I hope to go to Foxwoods Thursday of Friday night.. See how it works out. Ive been remodeling a bathroom for my landlord and I really want to get it done and done well. Well.. more to come when I have more to say. I bought a small pocket notebook so I can keep track of what I buy in with, how much I spend on tips and any key hands I want to remember so I dont have to come home fried after 8 hours and try to figure out what was what.
