oh and bankroll

Yeah I got to the 4th round of a quintuple 4max shootout. and made $50 off of that. I was heads up heading to the final table out chipped 3:1 and the guy chose to shove every single hand.. finally I was loosing too many blinds to i called with K9s to his KJ os. .it really pissed me off because there was no skill to it at all. and if I won that I was up to $80 min (not bad for a $2 buy in.)

Anyway.. that with some good NL cash play and $25 hitting my account that I had no idea where from (turns out the $25 test widthdrawl I did in MAY just got officially rejected and credited back to may account) so my BR is somewhere around $150 which is more accurately reflective. The small tournies Ive played balanced out with that win. not bad for a $10 deposit.

little update

So Ive had a new burst of inspiration for playing limit. I had someone one 2+2 review one of my standard sessions and the guy tore me apart. It was great really. His comments made me look back at a few things in SSHE and I realize how far Ive strayed from good sound play. My preflop play (which Ive prided myself in) has gotten so fucked up that i was folding AQos in early position. I was getting afraid of .25/.50 and playing very passive tight. Im working on correcting that and its going well.

Just had a very funny hand occur

Ive never once declared I had aces when I did and Im not sure why I thought it would be funny now but what he showed down just blew my mind. Sidenote.. I think telling the truth about what your holding forfiets your hand in a tourny.. not sure how it applies to cash games

First time for me so I was pretty excited. I got one other royal before also in diamonds at a draw poker machine in vegas. It was dealt to me straight out and a 50 cent bet turned into $200. Dinner was free that night.

Anywho my bankroll is currently around $75 which is artificially low having spent $50+ on tournaments and sitandgoes with a friend all summer. Right now Im working on building it back up at .25/.50 which seems to be my skill limit. Hopefully I can improve and work it back up to the $200ish area before I try tackling .5/1 again

The Grind

Well Im just over 2k hands into .5/1 and its proving to be the most challenging level to date (not surprisingly). Im keeping my head above water but the style of play is different. I really really need to tune up the aggression. Anywho heres a hand that was just too good not to document

Just as I was posting this I just hit a $15 pot.. this helps

Ding!

Well without too many problems and a really good hot streak a week ago, I just ground out the last 30 BBs I needed to move up another level for the last 4 hours. Heres the hand that put me over.. Im kinda pissed that I checked the river and missed a few bets.. there was only one card that beat me and with that much action I figured I was boned.. ah well. Ill post it on 2+2 and see what they have to say

Final Pot: 22 BB

Anyway I am going to take a break for a while and I might tap into .50/1 later today. Ive decided if that action is going to start to get harder (at 1/2 and 2/4) I might want to build up 300bbs before I move up again. 10 buy ins isnt that big of a pad.. Ill see how it goes. Anyway.. Woo!

Another good morning

Multitabling this morning and played about 15 minutes this afternoon and I went up 30BB again. Things are starting to come together in my head more and more. I still need to turn my aggression up more. Just before I left the last hand online I rivered a flush and checked it early because someone else had bet the turn and I missed out on at least 1 or 2 big bets. Anyway.. 60 more BBs and Im on my way to .50/1 .. Ill feel weird if it happens sooner then later because I barely spent any time at all at this level.. I mean I think its been a few weeks but I only today just turned 3k hands.

Well Im out to go sit in a bar in the afternoon.
