I havent posted in a while for a few reasons. The biggest is I have been taking a small break from Limit. I took a small back slide (two buy ins or so). At the same time I started picking up some NL sit and goes and a few MTTs which Ive been placing in. Its always good to jump back to other games and have them be fun again. The MTTs really wear on me though so I dont think Ill be playing too many more for a bit. Besides I can only ask my girlfriend to wait for me to do something for 3 or 4 hours in one week so many times before it before it becomes a problem.
I hope to go to Foxwoods Thursday of Friday night.. See how it works out. Ive been remodeling a bathroom for my landlord and I really want to get it done and done well. Well.. more to come when I have more to say. I bought a small pocket notebook so I can keep track of what I buy in with, how much I spend on tips and any key hands I want to remember so I dont have to come home fried after 8 hours and try to figure out what was what.

Trip Report
It is early saturday morning and there are only 2 tables running .1/.2 on pokerstars so Im typing this while I wait for my seat. I lost a buy in there so im hovering at $90 right now.. It was pretty much my fault because I was over tired and had a few in me. Play wasnt horrible but I wasnt thinking clearly on a lot of plays.
Took a trip to Foxwoods on thursday with Mike. I saw a large list at 2/4 and I was feeling a little spunky so I put my name on the 2/4 and 4/8 list. I got immediately seated at 4/8 and was not at all comfortable. The table just started.. everyone was serious and I felt out of place. I caught AK a few hands in and topped top pair top kicker. Someone who had called my raise preflop hit an ugly two pair and that cost me about $32.. then $6 in blinds and then a few good limped hands that didnt pan out.. needless to say I was down $50 in 15 minutes.. then a new 2/4 table opened up right next to me.. I jumped over and didnt look back. I spent the first few hours missing every flush draw and getting AA and KK cracked. I took it lightly and even encouraged people to play poorly. I did not get tilted and I had a great read at the table. I ended up grinding out $90 in 5 hours there and if it werent for the $50 I lost earlier I would have posted some good numbers.
Mental note.. stay the fuck away from the 4/8 table until you have enough money.

The home stretch
Im $7 or 35 BB away from hitting $100 in the bankroll. That of course means I get to move up to .25/.50 which is making me kind of nervous. Im tempted now to just start playing it but I want to stick to the exact rules I set for this project.
Also Im really glad I bought poker tracker. Im waiting til I have about 10k hands to really start analyzing my play. Until then I just keep logging the hands and taking notes on my opponents. I find that just the act of taking notes keeps me sharper to their action. It makes up for the information lost not playing live.
Ill post again when I move up... or if i hit a big backslide and screw it all up?
